2 tbsp red chili powder

1 tbsp turmeric powder

1 tbsp mustard seeds (crushed)

1 tbsp fenugreek seeds (methi)

ยฝ cup mustard oil (heated & cooled)

A pinch of asafoetida (hing โ€“ optional)
